Why aren't my Oracle Databases sending data to OpsCompass?

There are many reasons why we might not be receiving data from your Oracle databases. To ensure your licensing report is as accurate as possible, we want to fix whatever problem there is.

The most common reasons we aren't receiving data include:

1. The database has been decommissioned

If the database has been shutdown and no longer needs ongoing feature usage monitoring, please notify your OpsCompass representative.

2. The monitoring user credentials are not valid

  • Verify that the password for the monitoring user has not expired.
  • Ensure the username and password defined on the connection string match the credentials used when creating the monitoring user in the database.

3. The database connection information in the OpsCompass UI is wrong

Confirm the hostname, port, and service name are defined correctly for the database connection.
